Site Rating: threads in general are PG-13; those that venture into "R" territorry must put an "X" or "R" in the subject.

Site Owner(s): lockheed
Admin(s) Email: servant_of_kouga@sbcglobal.net
Open Since: We recently re-vamped the site and re-opened on August 19th of 2009.
Mini-Banner URL: i99.photobucket.com/albums/l290/lockheedelektra/desecrationssmilepics/AsheKandor_9-1-1-1.jpg
Additional Comments: We don't seem very active right now, but once we get more members we can really get rolling. For now, think of it as we have plenty of virgin boards for the taking. Members are encouraged to come up with their own plot twists and factions; for example, the "Stella's Freedom" and "Cult of the Possessor" organizations are the brainchildren of two of the members, not me. If you've got ideas, we're eager to hear them.

Main Plotline:
_[INITIATE]
The year is 2039. America has become multicultural in the truest sense, and a hodgepodge of languages can be heard anywhere you go. Advances in communications make it possible to view any major city in the world from any computer or television. Transportation is powered entirely by electricity, and power plants for cities and homes are autonomous. America is no longer dependent on fossil fuels, and the country enjoys a time of prosperity.
_[COLLAPSE]
The year is 2040. On February 23, a virus is released from a lab in New Jersey and quickly goes airborne. Dubbed 'the Mange Virus', it turns all those who become infected into raving beasts with no memory of their former selves. 98% of the population becomes Infected, but 1.8% are immune to the Mange Virus. However, this small percentage is not enough to stem the tide of the Infected. Millions die, and millions more are lost to the Virus.
_[SEQUENCE]
The year is 2040. On March 1st, the government takes action to protect the people from the virus, delivering food and necessities to communities across the nation. Blood samples are taken from the Immunes in hopes of synthesizing a cure. But no such cure is produced, and provision deliveries to the suburbs slow, then stop altogether. Provisions are still delivered to the cities to keep up appearances to the rest of the world, while the remnants of government retreat to their labs in the country. The few still alive are left to fend for themselves.
_[NOW]
The year is 2050. Many Immunes have died, but the survivors have formed small strongholds outside of the cities. Large cities have become dens for the Infected, and they are rarely seen in the suburbs where the Immunes reside. Life for Immunes attains a semblance of normalcy--until, during a run into Chicago for supplies, another community is discovered: the Carriers. Posessing some bestial traits of the Infected but retaining their human personalities, these Carriers may be the clue to creating the cure for the Mange Virus. But not all Immunes are willing to accept them so easily. Tensions run high as the humans deliberate whether to reveal the Carriers to the government that abandoned them... or to just let them die. And do the Carriers even want to be discovered?
